The development allows for 196 car parking spaces to match the proposed 72,450 sq ft of retail, leisure, and restaurant accommodation.
A historic market town in the Wear Valley, Bishop Auckland sits on the route of Dere Street, a Roman road from York to Scotland. The remains of Binchester Roman Fort are one mile from the town. Auckland Castleis located on the outskirts of the town and is still the official home of the Bishop of Durham.
